The Punjab and Taxation Commissioner A Venuprasad stated this after presiding over a meeting in regard to review the arrangements and take suggestions over the new policy to be formed. He announced during the meeting that the license fee for liquor vendors and various brands will be increased which will be different for different cities. This year’s collection in taxes from distilleries and liquor vends is expected to generate Rs 32,000 crore as 10 per cent raise has been projected for the coming financial year.
